Text: Genesis 32:1-32 Sermon in a sentence: It is not whether or not the circumstances of your life are easy or difficult, but whether or not you have met God in those circumstances.
Two encouragements for those who may be limping through the holiday— I. Your moment of greatest adversity may be your moment of greatest opportunity—verses 1-21.
At the height of Jacob's prosperity, he was about to lose it all.
II. Your moment of greatest vulnerability may be the moment that you become most deeply connected to God—verses 22-32.
At the moment of Jacob's greatest vulnerability, God chose to wrestle with him!
Jacob had his_________________and Job had his_________________but, ever after, no one doubted that they had met God!
