Text:    Nehemiah 8:13 - 10:39

Sermon in a prayer:  The only failure that is final is any one that you can't learn from or grow through.

Three questions that can help you learn from and grow through your failures—

#1  How have I fallen short of God's commands and callings for me in this situation?—       Nehemiah 8:13 - 9:35.

Examples from chapters 8 and 9:

  • Disobedience—8:17.

  • Rebellion—9:16.

  • Idolatry—9:18.

  • Ingratitude—9:24-26.

  • Apathy—9:29.

#2  How have my choices diminished the quality of my life and my experience of God?—Nehemiah 9:36-37.

.

#3  What commitments do I need to renew in order to put this failure behind me?—            Nehemiah 9:38 - 10:39.

      Examples from chapter 10:

  • Spiritual priorities—10:30.

  • Sabbath-keeping—10:31.

  • Stewardship of offerings, time and tithes—10:32-39.
